The January 12, 2010 earthquake was an enormous tragedy for the people of Haiti, causing the deaths of 230,000 and leaving 1.4 million homeless. But it also created an enormous opportunity for Haiti to rebuild, restore, and revitalize itself in ways previously not possible.
Architect Martin Hammer will show images and discuss his experiences with assessment teams from the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute and the World Monuments Fund, as well as his current involvement and insights, working with Builders Without Borders and other organizations towards a sustainable reconstruction.
A Presentation and Benefit for Builders Without Borders in Haiti Admission free, donations welcome
