What has Five Years of Canadian Intervention led to in Haiti?

A UN-Sponsored Military Occupation, Canadian aid, but Haiti is poorer than ever

DID YOU KNOW: Canada's Two Largest Foreign Policy Committments are Afghanistan and Haiti

We know how the occupation in Afghanistan turned out - but do you know what we did in Haiti?

JOIN Kevin Pina for a special screening of his new film: "Haiti: We Must Kill the Bandits!"

Pina was present during the 2004 coup and took exclusive footage. He stayed on to document the chaotic, two-year regime of human rights violations that was appointed by the UN and other foreign powers following President Aristide's overthrow. This unelected government received the first visit ever by a Canadian Prime Minister to Haiti, Paul Martin in November 2004.

SPECIAL! Former Haitian Parliamentarian Jean Candio has joined the tour!

Jean Candio was elected deputy to the Haitian parliament. He was forced to leave Haiti in the violent aftermath of the 2004 coup. Prior to fleeing, his house was burned and many of his colleagues and several family members were killed. He arrived in Canada in December 2006 to seek refuge, but was arrested instead and held for 3 weeks by Canadian Border Services.
